Kern County Fire has issued a Level 3 evacuation order for areas southeast of the city of Tehachapi.

The Kern County Fire Department called for Level 3 evacuation warnings for three zones southeast of the city of Tehachapi around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday as firefighters continue to attack a brush fire.

A Level 3 evacuation warning is a "go" warning, meaning that people are advised to leave the area immediately. Earlier, Level 2 evacuation warnings were issued but they were upgraded just before 4 p.m.
